If it is not direct observation or simple conclusion you can always test - there are always smart ways to verify this kind of hypothesis.

		<description>I didn&#039;t quite get the rationale for the presented insight. The premises are ok, but somehow I feel a big gap between them and the conclusion ( the resulted insight ), that, by the way, shouldn&#039;t result from a brainstorming.</description>

But it can be even worse... I&#039;ve heard in my life many so-called &quot;consumer insights&quot; coming from relatives/friends comments... 
This is why, sometimes, subjectivity is over-rulling (saddly in most of the cases) consumer reaserach.</description>
